Préparez-vous à une aventure, car les options économiques en basse saison sont… disons… limitées. Le temps? Attendez-vous à du vent, quelques averses, et un soleil éclatant qui se faufile entre les nuages. Pensez aux couches vestimentaires! Pour vous déplacer, les bus sont votre meilleur allié. Le ticket coûte environ 2€ par trajet. Louer une voiture peut sembler tentant, mais les routes sinueuses et le peu de soleil hivernal rendent la conduite difficile. Profitez des balades à pied pour apprécier l'architecture caractéristique de l'île, les maisons blanchies à la chaux accrochées aux falaises. Les activités? Explorer les villages pittoresques d'Oia et Fira est incontournable, mais gratuit. Profitez des moments tranquilles, de la vue imprenable sur la caldeira. Visite de musées? Comptez entre 8€ et 12€ par personne et par musée. Attention, certains musées peuvent être fermés en hiver.

Quant aux habitants, ils sont accueillants, même si le flux de touristes est beaucoup moins important qu'en été. L’ambiance est plus paisible et authentique. Vous rencontrerez plus de Grecs que de touristes, ce qui est un charme particulier de l'hiver.

En ce qui concerne le budget, prévoyez environ 800€ à 1000€ par couple pour un week-end de trois jours/deux nuits, en incluant le transport (avion non inclus), l’hébergement (une chambre d’hôtel double en basse saison autour de 80€ par nuit), les repas, et quelques activités.
