The atmosphere is quieter than the bustling summer months, and you'll discover a more authentic side of Istanbul.
Let's start with the food, oh la la! For our first dinner, we'll indulge in a casual dining experience at a local "lokanta" in the city center. These are family-run restaurants serving traditional Turkish home-style cooking at very affordable prices. Expect to pay around 150-200 TL (approximately €7-€10 per person) for a delicious meal, including appetizers (meze) like hummus and stuffed vine leaves, a main course (perhaps kuru fasulye, a hearty white bean stew, or pide, a Turkish pizza), and a refreshing Turkish tea.
