Bonjour mes amis! A Maritimes Tours guide, at your service! Six of you, three couples, ready to unravel the mysteries of Split in the glorious Croatian spring? Magnifique! The warm weather makes it an ideal time for exploration. Expect sunny skies, temperatures hovering around a delightful 15-20°C (59-68°F), perfect for wandering ancient streets and basking in the Adriatic sun.

Our adventure begins! We’ll start with accommodation – three comfortable apartments near the Riva promenade, costing approximately €100 per night per apartment. That’s €300 per night for the group. Three nights' stay will come to €900.

Food glorious food! Let's indulge in Croatian cuisine. Expect fresh seafood (try the grilled fish!), hearty stews, and delicious pasta dishes. Budget €50 per person per day for meals, including those delightful peka feasts (meat or seafood cooked under a bell-shaped lid). That’s €300 per day for the group, or €900 for three days.

Transportation? We'll navigate Split like seasoned explorers, utilizing a mix of walking tours (the best way to soak up the atmosphere!), and occasional taxis. Factor in €100 for taxis and public transportation for the three days.

Now, for the cultural immersion! Diocletian's Palace is a must-see, a testament to Roman grandeur. You’ll also want to explore the city's charming narrow streets, bustling markets overflowing with local produce, and the vibrant Riva promenade. We'll delve into the legends whispered through the centuries, uncovering the history behind every stone and archway. Expect to spend roughly €60 total on entrance fees for various sites. Don’t forget to browse the artisan shops, and immerse yourselves in the local traditions of klapa music, a beautiful style of a cappella singing.

The atmosphere? Expect a lively mix of locals and tourists, all enjoying the spring sunshine. The air will hum with the sounds of cheerful chatter, the gentle lapping of the Adriatic waves, and perhaps some live klapa music. You'll see plenty of olive trees, a symbol of Croatia, and maybe even spot a friendly cat or two, a common sight in this beautiful city.

The architecture is a delightful blend of Roman, Venetian, and modern styles, creating a unique visual tapestry. Remember to savor the local wines and try the refreshing Croatian bijelo vino (white wine). We'll finish off with a spectacular sunset view over the Adriatic Sea. It's a magical experience you won't forget.

So, what’s the grand total? Let’s add it up: Accommodation (€900) + Food (€900) + Transportation (€100) + Entrance Fees (€60) = €1960 for your three-day Split adventure.

Important Note: This is an estimated cost, and prices may vary depending on your preferences and choices. However, it provides a solid baseline for your budgeting. Prepare for an unforgettable journey! Dovidjenja!

Bonjour, mes amis voyageurs! As your guide for this Split extravaganza, I, Jean-Pierre, promise you an adventure that blends the sun-drenched beauty of the Dalmatian Coast with a dash of historical intrigue – perfect for our three discerning couples!

Spring in Split means fewer crowds than the summer rush, a significant advantage for group travel. Expect pleasant temperatures, averaging around 15-20°C (59-68°F), ideal for exploring the city's treasures without battling hordes of tourists. Pack layers, though, as the Adriatic breeze can be capricious!

Our journey begins with Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Imagine: Roman ruins intertwined with medieval architecture, buzzing with life. We'll wander its labyrinthine streets, uncover hidden courtyards, and soak in the atmosphere. Entry to the Palace is free, though guided tours are available for around €20 per person.

Next, we'll head to Marjan Hill for breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the sparkling Adriatic. We can choose to hike or take a taxi (€10-15 per taxi ride, consider sharing for cost-effectiveness). At the top, we'll enjoy a picnic lunch featuring local delicacies: fresh seafood, delicious pašticada (a slow-cooked beef stew), and of course, Croatian wine – expect to spend around €25-35 per person for the picnic and drinks.

The evening will be filled with the sounds of traditional Dalmatian klapa music drifting from taverns. We'll savor a delicious dinner at a Konoba (traditional tavern), enjoying fresh seafood and local specialties. Allow €40-50 per person for this culinary experience. The locals are friendly and welcoming; you'll find them genuinely happy to share their culture and customs with you.

The next day, we'll explore the Riva, Split's lively waterfront promenade. The atmosphere is vibrant; you'll see people strolling, enjoying the sunset, and indulging in gelato. We'll also visit the Cathedral of St. Domnius, with its impressive bell tower offering yet another stunning viewpoint (entry fee: around €10 per person).

Of course, no trip to Split is complete without a boat trip to one of the nearby islands. A half-day excursion to Hvar or Brač is highly recommended. Expect to pay around €50-70 per person for this adventure, including transportation and a chance to swim in crystal-clear waters.

For our final night, a farewell dinner awaits, featuring a more upscale dining experience, celebrating our shared adventures. Budget around €60-75 per person for this celebratory feast.

Throughout our explorations, you'll notice Split’s unique architectural style: a blend of Roman, Venetian, and Austro-Hungarian influences. The city's soundscape is a mix of the gentle lapping of waves, the lively chatter of locals, and the occasional strumming of a guitar. You'll see cats sunning themselves on warm stones – a common sight in Split. The overall mood is relaxed and welcoming, a perfect blend of historical charm and modern vibrancy.

Total estimated cost for the trip (per couple): €600-800 (excluding flights and accommodation). Remember, this is an estimate, and costs can vary depending on your preferences and choices. But one thing is certain: this Spring adventure in Split will leave lasting memories! Dovidjenja!
